Joyful Joyful #1: Store Decor

Welcome to the first edition of Joyful Joyful. For the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some Christmas finds and tips: from decor to music to traditions and treats.

One of my favorite things about the holidays is that stores get all decked out. Being that decorating is one of my passions, I love that everyone gets into it at this time of the year. I have been inspired by a few stores in the past week and today I am going to feature one of them.

Now, I am a Coffee Been or Peets girl, no doubt about it. However, Starbucks beats them at holiday decor hands down. They always have the cutest decorations: simple, clean and creative. Right up my ally!

Here is what is in my local Starbucks. (I'm not sure if they all have the same decorations, but this is what is around me):
The bird motif is super popular right now, so it was fun to see that incorporated. However, I absolutely adore the use of balls of yarn. How fun is that? I love that wreath. There are also similar wreaths on the door with birds hanging in the middle.

So simple, yet so fun! I bought myself some celadon green yarn that I am going to try to use in my christmas decor at home. I'll let you know how it goes!

I heard a rumor that they sometimes sell the decorations after Christmas. And cheap too! I will definitely be trying to snag one of those wreaths for next year!

Happy decorating!

*disclaimer: I am not a photographer, although I wish I had mad skills with a quality camera. Thus, you will have to excuse the poor quality of any photos I take. :)

I loved those too! I was at Michaels the other day and saw painted wood versions of yard balls painted in the same color. I thought that would be a cute alternative to the actual yarn balls. I thought of your post when I saw them. I should have taken pictures!
