Phil & Krista at Rancho Capistrano: Part 1

I loved this wedding! Phil & Krista were married back in July at Rancho Capistrano . I had the privilege of working with them from the beginning of their planning and had such a great time getting to know them and bringing their vision to life.

This wedding was full of personal details. We had fun dreaming up ways to pull their interests and personalities into the wedding. There are so many amazing photos by the wonderful Emi & Michael of Evoke Photography that I am going to break this wedding up into three posts.

I love this:
The design for their wedding was based around poppies: using a deep eggplant and mango orange color scheme. Here are the super cute invitations, made by a friend of the couple: Leslie Lewis.

Unfortunately, poppies were not in season, so they were not used in any of the arrangements. However, we did still use them on all of the stationary.
Here is a look at the personal flowers:
How gorgeous and striking is Krista's bouquet of calla lilies? The flowers were done by Elizabeth Bailey.
Bridesmaids bouquets:
I could just hug these dahlias.

Phil had a groomswoman, so to make her bouquet a little different than the bridesmaids & more similar to the boutonnieres, we had a succulent added to the bouquet:
The guys had succulents for their bouts:

I loved these corsages!
Phil's amazing bout. The rhinestones make such a big impact:
The lovely ladies:
How fun are these parasols for photos? A few of my recent clients have used them for this purpose. I love the pop they bring to group photos. We can order these for clients- drop me an email if you are interested. Krista & I especially loved these because they looked like big poppies!
The gorgeous Krista:
Krista is an art teacher and we tried to incorporate that into the decor. You'll see more later, but here is a shot of the adorable mailbox she painted to use as a cardbox:
The really cool thing is that they can use this after the wedding!

The rings hanging out on Krista's beautiful poppies:

More to come!
**edited to add: I forgot to include the flowers for the mothers. Rather than having them wear corsages, each mom was given a single calla lily wrapped in ribbon to carry. I love it!
